Carl Gustav Jung was born on 26 July 1875 and died on 6 June 1961. In that time he changed the face of psychology and was one the most influential thinkers of the century.
Known as the founder of Analytical Psychology, Carl Jung is seen as the first modern psychiatrist to look at the human psyche as "by nature religious", making it the focus of his research. Although Carl Jung wasn't the first psychologist to analyze dreams, he is one of the most important researchers in the field of analysis and what is called symbolization.
Carl Jung was a practicing clinician, most of his work was an exploration of tangential areas, including philosophy from both the East and West, and also astrology, sociology, as well as literature. All of his research was extremely productive in regard to the symbols and processes of the psyche that is found in dreams and other part of the unconscious.
